How can I help my children deal with their feelings?

Everybody handles their feelings differently, including your children. Your feelings don’t just go away if you ignore them. They come out in different ways, like illness or addictions. Some people lash out at those around them when they’re having a hard time emotionally.

Your children might take out their feelings about the divorce by acting out or acting younger than they are. You might have to help them learn how to act on their feelings so they don’t hurt themselves or others.
